I found a recipe for chocolate with peanut butter ice cream. The ingredients call for 4 t baking powder. There are some errors in the ingredients (vanilla left out) and the method (chocolate powder and melted, and baking powder left out of directions, but vanilla is mentioned). With these errors it could be a mistake, but I made the dessert as written (doubled cocoa powder) and it was exactly like Haagen Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream, which is what I was looking for. What purpose does the baking powder serve? Why does no one on the entire web use it?
